Leading Longdogs

Leading Longdogs was set up to help raise much needed funds for rescued sighthounds in the UK and Spain.

In the UK thousands of ex-racing Greyhounds are disposed of every year, many end up abandoned and in urgent need of veterinary care and rehabilitation. Racing Greyhounds which don't make the grade on the track are also handed over to rescues for re-homing.

In the UK the mistreatment and abandonment of working lurchers (sighthound crosses), is also a major problem and many greyhound rescues also take in and rehome them.

In Spain the Spanish hunting sighthounds known as Galgos and Podencos, are severely mistreated and it is estimated that more than 50 000 are killed every year. Animal shelters in Spain have very little funding for the rehabilitation and re-homing programs they carry out.

By making all our own products we keep costs down so that as much money as possible can be given to the charities we support.
